Mission Prahar, a self-defense training program for girls above 8 years and women, initiated across the country by Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bhardwaj is set take place on the 25th and 26th of June, 2016, in the premises of Trio World Academy, Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru.
Mission Prahar aims to empower one crore women in the country in self-defense. The mission has already reached out to around 30 lakh women across the country. The purpose of the program is to train women to protect themselves when faced with danger. Trio World Academy has tied up with Mission Prahar and has given the mission a platform to reach out to the residents of Bengaluru.
Grandmaster Shifuji stated that “Empowerment needs to be self-driven. Attacks may come in any form and it could be any person. It is not always possible for a girl/woman to find someone to defend her. This makes it necessary for every girl to train in self-defense, so that she can independently ensure her own safety. Mission Prahar’s sole objective is to train women in this stance, so that their safety rests in their own hands.”
